The Chloé Trevor Music Academy Combined Fellowship-Counselor Program is an optional intensive work-study program those who meet the requirements for both the Fellowship and Counselor positions listed below:
No more than 8 Combined Fellowship-Counselor Applicants will attend the Academy on a Full-Tuition Scholarship and receive a 50% discount on Room & Board. Combined Fellowship-Counselors will participate in the regular Academy activities, and will also have the following responsibilities:
- Ages 24-35
- U.S. Citizen
- Enrolled in a music degree program
- One or more years of private lesson teaching experience
No more than 8 Combined Fellowship-Counselor Applicants will attend the Academy on a Full-Tuition Scholarship and receive a 50% discount on Room & Board. Combined Fellowship-Counselors will participate in the regular Academy activities, and will also have the following responsibilities:
- Student wake-up calls
- Escorting campers to meals
- Faculty assistance
- Stage management
- Emergency care
- Night checks
- Perform on the Fellowship Concert. String players in the Fellowship Ensemble with Chloé Trevor, and pianists in Sonata-Duo ensembles.
- Teaching private lessons and/or coaching Academy chamber ensembles
Application Process
To apply for the Combined Fellowship-Counselor Program, select the Combined Fellowship-Counselor Application above. Applying to the Combined Fellowship-Counselor Program will include written essays, a possible phone or video interview, and an audition video to be sent via YouTube or Dropbox link. Combined Fellowship-Counselor Application deadline is March 15, 2019. Combined Fellowship-Counselor Applications received after March 15th will only be considered if there are remaining spots available. Those applicants not chosen for the Combined Fellowship-Counselor Program will be considered for the Counselor Program or the Academy Program.
Video Audition Requirements
REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR PIANO AND STRINGS
- Two contrasting works, one displaying technical proficiency, and the other demonstrating lyrical ability. A movement of a standard concerto is recommended, but a movement of a sonata or show piece is also acceptable.
- Piano accompaniments are recommended, if applicable, but not required.
VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
- Videos should be of the highest video and audio quality.
- Previously recorded videos may be submitted if they were recorded after January 1, 2018.
- Videos are to be submitted as YouTube or Dropbox links. YouTube videos may be set to "Unlisted" if desired.
